Driving E6, you turn west just north of Steinkjer, at Asp, onto the coastal route (Rv 17) towards Namsos. After about 80 km you get to Namsos. Namsos camping is near the mouth of the Namsen River, and only a 5 minute drive from Namsos centre.
Namsos camping has naturally beautiful surroundings, with cabins, caravans, and campground near to a swimming beach. A lovely free area (protected natural area) borders the campground. A late evening walk through the protected forest or a round of mini-golf is the best way to ensure a good night sleep.
Between Namsos camping and Namsos centre is Oasen, which is Europe's biggest swimming pool built quite literally into a mountain. The swimming pool offers activities for the whole family. The town of Namsos also offers other activities, such as the Nord-Trøndelag gallery and two museums.
At Namsos camping we have available cabins of all sizes, parking places for caravans/house trailers, and of course tent places. We also have a large kiosk on site.
Cabins, caravans and tent grounds
Namsos Camping has 31 cabins, of which 10 are recently built logcabins with electric lighting and heating, showers and WC facilities. The living room is furnished and the kitchen has cooking facilities, refrigerator and everything that you need for a long visit. The cabins have beds for 4-5 persons all with pillows and featherbeds. Extra beds can be arranged.
The other 21 cabins are serviced by a common toilet/shower facility, two kitchens and a TV room with place for 20-30 people.
Fishing permits for Namsen River, one of the best salmon rivers in Norway, can be purchased at Namsos camping. Our guests have access to 4 km river shoreline. In the Namsen fjord sea fishing is accessible from both land and boat. A one hour drive takes you to our part of the North Sea, Folla. Folla is equally fascinating in both nice and stormy weather.

From 1st May to 31st August:
Large cabins, 5-7 beds, with shower NOK 650-700 per day
Medium size cabins, 4 beds, without shower NOK 400 per day
Small size cabins, 4 beds without shower, NOK 275 per day
From 1st September to 30th April the large cabins are available for only
NOK 500 per day.
Caravan parking with electricity NOK 135 per day
Caravan parking without electricity NOK 110 per day
Tent ground NOK 70,- per day.
Special price for larger groups. No recuction in June and July.
Bed linen is available for NOK 45 per bed per day.
If you prefer to not clean the cabin at departure, we will do that for only NOK 250 per cabin.
Fishing permits for Namsen River cost NOK 50 per day or 150 per season. Changes in prices may occur.
Rental boats cost NOK 50 per hour or 1250 per week.
